Rajasthan has been a feudal state, glimpses of which can still be seen in the villages, in this social system the Dalits are the most affected by caste discrimination. Caste discrimination is at its peak in all the districts of Rajasthan, the situation of caste discrimination is even worse in the districts of Pali, Jalore, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer of western Rajasthan. Even today, Dalits are not allowed to sit on the village Chaupal in the villages of Rajasthan. They cannot go out wearing shoes in front of the fort (Rawala), cannot go out sitting on a bicycle, Dalit bride and groom cannot sit on a horse, Dalits are not allowed to use public places, Dalits’ hair is not cut, Dalits cannot use the rights given by the Constitution, there is a flood of cases of caste discrimination.

Dalit Mahila Adhikar Manch

The Dalit Mahila Manch (DMM) is a pivotal initiative of the Centre for Dalit Rights in Jaipur, dedicated to empowering Dalit women and fostering their leadership across Rajasthan.
